A resident of Florida, USA, caught a thief who broke into his neighbor's car at night and held him until the police arrived. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
Interestingly, he did this while wearing pajamas resembling the Batman character, according to the SCMP publication. The incident occurred in the city of Cape Coral.
At around 2 a.m., the police received reports of several cars being attacked. The suspect, 20-year-old Justin Shimpl, opened several cars and looted the items inside.
At that moment, the owner of one of the cars, Kyle Myvett, was forced to leave his house. He woke up to the sound of the alarm and, upon going outside, saw the thief rummaging through his pickup truck.
Myvett caught up with the thief from behind and held him until the police arrived. Law enforcement officers praised Myvett's bravery upon arriving at the scene and even took a photo with him as a keepsake.
It was revealed that Shimpl had previously been under police supervision for theft. During this arrest, he is charged with three major and two minor thefts.
Cash, expensive wristwatches, gift cards worth over $500, and two Ray-Ban sunglasses valued at a total of $300 were found from the criminal.
