From September 1 of this year, the French government has made it mandatory for all ministries and government agencies to regularly use the secure and fast messaging service Tchap. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
This decision was made to protect state security and sovereignty. The name Tchap was given in honor of Claude Chappe, the famous French engineer who invented optical communication methods in the 18th century.
From now on, all civil servants in France, including ministry employees, are required to use only the Tchap platform for professional correspondence and official communication. At the same time, public messengers such as WhatsApp, Signal, and Telegram have been removed from the list of official services.
This decision aims to ensure the security and confidentiality of the state communication system. According to an official message written by Prime Minister François Bayrou, although public instant messaging applications are important for daily communication, they are not free from security vulnerabilities.
Therefore, all civil servants are required to install and regularly use the Tchap application developed by the Interministerial Digital Directorate on their devices. This step serves to ensure that state communications are conducted using modern and secure technologies.
