Search and rescue operations have concluded in the Sayram-Ugam National Park in the Turkistan region of Kazakhstan. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
During this operation, an Uzbek tourist died, while his companion survived. This was reported by "Kursiv media".
The search was conducted in mountains at an altitude of 2000 meters. According to information, two young men born in 1996 and 1997 set out on a trip from Shymkent on August 31, but later contact with them was lost.
Initially, rescuers tried to reach the area by helicopter, but due to weather conditions, the equipment could not enter the dangerous zone. As a result, the team continued on foot.
Experienced specialists from the Mountaineering Federation were involved to assist and played an important role in reaching the travelers. The surviving young man was safely lowered from the horse and handed over to his relatives.
The body of the deceased tourist was separately secured and handed over to the police. This incident highlights the need to strengthen caution and safety measures during travel.
