Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni clearly stated her position following the “coalition of willing” meeting. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to her, Italy does not plan to send military forces to Ukrainian territory. Meloni emphasized that Italy is ready to contribute to the peace process and announced its willingness to assist through monitoring and training initiatives.
She also said that supporting the ceasefire process is a priority for Italy. At the same time, the country is focusing on providing diplomatic and technical assistance rather than military aid to Ukraine.
The Italian government aims to maintain stability in the region through this approach and expresses its opposition to the continuation of the war. Thus, instead of sending military forces to Ukraine, Italy intends to provide diplomatic and technical support to ensure peace and stability.
