
Faruq Azam, a senior advisor to the Ministry of Energy and Water Resources in Afghanistan, was arrested for proposing to send women as nurses to Kunar province, which was affected by the earthquake. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

On the Meta platform, he emphasized the necessity of sending female nurses to Kunar, aiming to demonstrate that women's role in society is even more important and necessary. Additionally, he called on female healthcare professionals working inside Afghanistan and abroad to assist the earthquake-affected population.
The advisor wrote, “Are the knowledgeable and experienced women among us ready to take initiative and make sacrifices to strengthen their position in society? If so, now is the most appropriate time.”
