Another practical step between Uzbekistan and Russia: Now our compatriots can officially engage in labor activities in large enterprises of the Altai region. This was announced during negotiations held with the initiative of the Migration Agency under the Cabinet of Ministers and the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Novosibirsk.

  • Leading companies such as “Selina”, “Rikon”, “Aleyskzernoprodukt”, “Agrofirm Harvest”,
  • and officials from the Consulate General of Uzbekistan.

Notably, representatives of the Altai government announced that 11,000 foreign workers are planned to be attracted by the end of 2024. More than 6,000 of them will be citizens of Uzbekistan. This indicates a high demand for our compatriots in the labor market.

In which sectors can they work?

The Altai side indicated a need for workers in the following areas:
- Construction;
- Industry;
- Agriculture and its processing;
- Trade and other service sectors.

Organizations accepting labor migrants stated that they are ready to comply with all provisions of labor contracts.

Goal – to protect labor migrants

The Consul General of Uzbekistan, Aslam Akbarov, emphasized the importance of protecting the interests of compatriots during the negotiations:

“The most important thing is that labor contracts are fully complied with and our citizens' rights are protected.”

Work permits – mostly issued to Uzbeks

According to data, two-thirds of the work permits issued in 2024 will be for citizens of Uzbekistan. This reflects the trust and need of Russian employers for our compatriots.

Zamin.uz conclusion:

Altai is not only a historical region today but also a source of new job opportunities for our compatriots!

Regulating labor migration and protecting human rights have become priority tasks for both countries.

This is an important opportunity for citizens who wish to work legally and safely in Russia!
