Trump did not assist Israel in the plan to strike Iran

US President Donald Trump reportedly stated during a meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in Washington in April that he would not support plans to attack Iran's nuclear facilities, according to interfax.ru.

According to The New York Times, Trump said during the meeting at the White House that the US would not take military action against Iran, but rather was entering into negotiations. Israel urged the US to participate in its commando raids and airstrike campaign, but Trump rejected this.

Reports indicate that the US is currently working on returning to a diplomatic agreement regarding Iran's nuclear program. Netanyahu, however, is emphasizing covert actions and operations against nuclear scientists, expressing skepticism about such an agreement.
