The Israeli government has officially banned the United Nations agency UNRWA, which provides aid to Palestinian refugees in the Middle East, from carrying out humanitarian activities in the Gaza Strip. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
This decision was made following the International Criminal Court's call on October 22 for Israel not to obstruct the agency's work. An Israeli representative stated, “UNRWA will never be allowed to enter Gaza again.”
According to reports, Israel has also informed the US administration about this decision and expressed its firm opposition to the agency's interference in humanitarian aid. Currently, UNRWA warehouses hold food reserves sufficient for thousands of trucks.
These reserves are enough to supply the Gaza population for at least three months. Additionally, materials for building shelters for 1.3 million Palestinians living in the devastated areas are also prepared.
However, due to the lack of Israeli permission, this aid is not reaching the population. As a result, thousands of Palestinians are facing hardships due to shortages of food and shelter.
This situation is leading to a deepening humanitarian crisis in the region.
