
The national teams of Kosovo and Switzerland played a 1:1 draw in the match held in the city of Prishtina. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
This result allowed Switzerland to maintain first place in the group and secure a direct qualification for the World Cup. Kosovo took second place and earned the right to participate in the playoff stage.
In the opening minutes of the game, both teams acted cautiously. Although Switzerland had the advantage in ball possession, they did not rush to accelerate their attacks.
The visitors mainly controlled the game through Xhaka and the defenders, trying to avoid dangerous situations. Kosovo organized attacks from the wings through Muslia and Vojvoda, but they could not create significant danger inside the penalty area.
The first dangerous chance was created by Swiss player Embolo. The goalkeeper Muric managed to save his close-range shot.
Kosovo made their first clear shot at the end of the first half, but the goalkeeper Kobel easily caught Hodja's attempt. The game came alive at the beginning of the second half.
In the 47th minute, Switzerland took advantage of the opponent's mistake on the wing and opened the score. Sow received the ball in the center and passed it to Vargas, who advanced into the penalty area from the left wing.
Vargas deceived goalkeeper Muric and sent an accurate shot to the near corner. After that, Kosovo increased their activity and intensified attacks near the opponent's penalty area.
Muslia and Galapeni repeatedly delivered crosses into the penalty area from the left wing, trying to supply Muriqi with the ball. Finally, in the 74th minute, Muslia received the ball near the penalty area line and equalized with a precise shot.
In the remaining minutes, Kosovo tried to secure a victory, but the Swiss defense preserved the draw. This result gave Switzerland first place in the group and ensured their qualification for the World Cup.
