The US Department of the Treasury's Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) has extended the validity of the license allowing Lukoil to sell its foreign assets until January 17, 2026. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
This information was published on the official website of the office. The license grants the opportunity to conduct negotiations and conclude contracts for the sale of assets belonging to Lukoil International GmbH (LIG) and the company's foreign subsidiaries.
Additionally, this document includes rules permitting the use of LIG's blocked accounts. This enables the provision of services and the execution of other operations.
It should be recalled that Lukoil was added to the US sanctions list on October 22, 2023. Subsequently, in December, the company was granted a temporary license to sell its foreign assets.
Furthermore, earlier the US Department of the Treasury allowed Lukoil to perform maintenance and closure operations on its foreign fuel stations until the end of April 2026.
