On December 7, 41-year-old Taulant Toma, Europe's most famous "escape master," escaped for the fourth time from the "Opera" prison located in Milan, Italy. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
He cut through the bars of his cell, descended using bedsheets, and disappeared without a trace. Toma first escaped from prison in 2009.
His most famous escape took place in 2013 from Parma prison. At that time, he was searched for 40 days, but after being captured in Belgium, he managed to escape again.
Currently, the Italian government has launched a manhunt to capture the criminal and has increased border controls. It is being investigated whether Toma received any external assistance during his escape.
At the same time, the conditions in the "Opera" prison have also come under criticism. Although there should be 811 staff members at the prison, it has been reported that only 533 people are currently working there.
