
Gold futures for delivery in February 2026 reached $4,367 per troy ounce on the Comex exchange in New York. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
This figure is the highest since October 21, 2025. At 16:37 Tashkent time, the gold price was recorded at $4,369, and at 17:04 it reached $4,372.
In April, Goldman Sachs bank had forecasted that by the end of the year, the gold price would reach $3,700 per ounce. According to them, this increase is related to the rising demand for gold by global central banks.
Since the beginning of 2025, central banks worldwide have purchased a total of 254 tons of gold. Poland and Kazakhstan were noted as the largest buyer countries.
In October alone, central banks bought 53 tons of gold, which is 36 percent more compared to last year. As of December 1, 2025, Uzbekistan's gold and foreign currency reserves reached $61.2 billion, marking a record high.
The physical gold volume also increased to 12.2 million troy ounces during the month.
