A new robot guide based on artificial intelligence is being tested in the metro system located in Shenzhen, China. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
The Global Times publication reported on this. The robot, named Xiaosuan, was developed to assist visually impaired and blind passengers.
It has capabilities such as independently planning routes, detecting the environment, receiving voice commands, and recognizing objects. If the project is successfully completed, such robots are planned to be widely introduced at other metro stations as well.
One of the passengers who participated in the trial shared their opinion about the new technology, saying, "The electronic guide dog does not get distracted and is much more attentive. I feel safer moving with it."
This project is considered an important step towards creating convenience for passengers in the metro system and introducing modern technologies.
