The German government has officially announced plans to expand cooperation with Ukraine in the defense industry sector. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
Berlin aims to jointly design, manufacture, and increase the production volume of military products. Additionally, it is planned to assist Ukraine in deeper integration of these products into the European market.
These objectives are reflected in a 10-point program developed by Germany. This program was presented on December 15 at the Germany–Ukraine Economic Forum.
According to official information, the plan was developed in coordination with all relevant ministries and government agencies. It places special emphasis on expanding the participation of Germany and European Union countries in the joint procurement of military products for Ukraine.
The plan also includes establishing the production of combat drones for the needs of the Ukrainian Armed Forces on German territory. In this regard, a cooperation agreement has been signed between the Ukrainian drone manufacturer Frontline Robotics and the German company Quantum Systems.
This cooperation is considered an important step in equipping the Ukrainian army with modern technologies. Furthermore, Germany plans to establish the Ukraine Freedom House center in Berlin to facilitate systematic cooperation among arms manufacturers.
This center is expected to ease communication between manufacturers, investors, and government structures. Germany is also considering providing financial guarantees for investments made in Ukraine’s defense sector.
Close cooperation is also planned to protect economic infrastructure from espionage, sabotage, and external threats. The plan includes agreements to ensure transparency in the procurement of military equipment and arms and to take strict measures against corruption.
In summary, Germany’s 10-point program is aimed not only at political but also technological and industrial cooperation, bringing Germany–Ukraine collaboration to a new level. This cooperation could be of significant importance for the European security system.
