
Two Uzbek citizens were detained at Israel's Ben-Gurion airport while attempting to enter the country using fake Israeli passports. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
The Israeli publication "Cursorinfo" reported on this incident. As a result of the investigation conducted regarding this case, a total of 16 people were detained with fake documents.
Two of them are Uzbek citizens, while the remaining 14 are Georgian citizens. It was revealed that some of these passports were previously issued in the names of deceased Israeli citizens.
It was found that 15 of these individuals flew to Israel from the city of Sochi, and one more came from Tbilisi. They were identified during passport control, immediately detained, and interrogated.
During the investigation, the detained individuals admitted that they came to Israel illegally in search of work. Appropriate measures are currently being taken regarding this case.
