
President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev is on an official visit to Tokyo, Japan. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
The head of state was welcomed at Haneda International Airport by Japan's Minister of Internal Affairs and Communications Yoshimasa Hayashi and other officials. Uzbek compatriots living, working, and studying in Japan also warmly greeted the President.
The head of state held an open dialogue with them. During the conversation, reforms being carried out in Uzbekistan, the country's development directions, as well as the plans and goals of citizens living abroad were discussed.
Important events are planned during President Shavkat Mirziyoyev's visit on December 19–20. These include meetings with Japan's Emperor Naruhito, Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi, Japanese businesspeople, and representatives of scientific circles.
Additionally, the head of state is expected to participate in the first summit of the "Central Asia + Japan" dialogue.
