
On December 24, 2023, Russian forces launched a large-scale aerial attack on the city of Zaporizhzhia. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
The attack was carried out using aerial bombs and unmanned aerial vehicles. This was announced by the head of the city administration, Ivan Fedorov.
According to Fedorov, residential buildings suffered significant damage as a result of the attack, and there are injured civilians among the peaceful population. Photos provided by officials showed burning cars, broken windows, and destroyed balconies.
It was reported that at least four civilians were injured in the attack, and 13 multi-story residential buildings were damaged. Later, news emerged about another civilian casualty.
The regional police confirmed that three high-explosive aerial bombs were dropped on the city. Such weapons are designed to strike precise targets.
According to the Ukrainian Armed Forces Air Force, on the night of December 24, Russian forces launched a total of 116 drones across the entire territory of Ukraine. Of these, 60 were destroyed or diverted by air defense, but 48 drones reached their targets and caused damage in various areas.
This latest attack on Zaporizhzhia once again demonstrated the threat to civilian lives under war conditions. Local authorities and rescue services continue efforts to clear the debris and provide assistance to those affected.
