On December 30, 2025, Saudi Arabia carried out an airstrike on the Mukalla port located in southern Yemen. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
The Saudi side explained this attack by stating that weapons were delivered to separatist forces. It was reported that the weapons were brought via ships coming from the port of Fujairah in the United Arab Emirates.
According to the Saudi state news agency, the weapons and military equipment delivered to the port posed a serious threat to regional security. For this reason, coalition air forces conducted a limited military operation.
The military emphasized that the strike was carried out at night and necessary measures were taken to ensure that civilians were not harmed. So far, there have been no reports of casualties or injuries as a result of the attack.
According to some sources, the strike may be related to a cargo ship named "Greenland." This ship was previously at the port of Fujairah and later arrived at the Mukalla port.
The United Arab Emirates has not yet commented on this incident. This situation indicates increased tension in relations between Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.
Experts believe that such events could further complicate the social and political situation in Yemen.
