This statement was made amid ongoing protests in Iran and reports of casualties during these demonstrations. The protests in Iran have been continuing since December of last year.

These events are said to have been caused by the sharp devaluation of the national currency and rising inflation. Subsequently, spontaneous protests have been observed in various regions of the country.

The most serious clashes were recorded in the city of Azna. Although Iranian officials have expressed their readiness to engage in dialogue with the protesters, law enforcement agencies are assessing these events as a conspiracy orchestrated by external forces.
