Prices have risen in China, demand remains weak

Consumer prices in China reached the highest level in the last three years in December. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
This increase was mainly due to the rise in prices of food products, including fresh vegetables and beef. However, the price growth at the end of the year was observed at a low level, indicating weak domestic demand.
The producer price index continued to decline throughout the year. This situation indicates an excess of products among producers and strong price competition.
Therefore, additional measures are necessary to boost economic activity and stabilize prices. The Chinese government has set increasing household income and expanding consumption opportunities as its main goals.
At the same time, efforts are being made to reduce excess product volumes and control prices. According to experts, the annual price growth remains low, and the economic targets set by officials are not being achieved.
For this reason, additional measures by the government are expected next year to support economic growth and reduce deflation.
