Petro: I gave Trump the list of drug trafficking controllers

Colombian President Gustavo Petro made an important statement following a meeting in Washington. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
He announced that he had presented former US President Donald Trump with a list of individuals managing drug trafficking. According to Petro, the fight against drug trafficking should not be carried out by a single country's efforts alone, but through international cooperation.
The President emphasized that the main role in drug trafficking is played not by those in Colombia, but by individuals living and operating abroad. He specifically mentioned three main locations: Dubai, Madrid, and Miami.
Petro highlighted the role of these cities in drug trafficking and stated that he handed over the names of the individuals residing there along with related information to Trump. He also noted the necessity of cooperating with intelligence agencies of various countries to pursue these individuals.
According to Petro, to succeed in the fight against drug trafficking, it is necessary to apprehend the key figures managing the system, not just minor operatives. While acknowledging that such individuals exist in Colombia as well, he stressed that the main problem lies in other countries.
Petro believes that since drug trafficking is a global issue, its solution must also be global. For reference, Petro and Trump met at the White House on February 3 and agreed to cooperate in combating drug trafficking.
Concluding his remarks, Petro emphasized that if the main leaders are not targeted, drug trafficking will only take another form but will not disappear.
