Marriage age is increasing in India

Over the past decade, the average age of marriage in India has risen from 27 to 29. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
This was reported by The Tribune. According to experts, the main reasons for this change are related to life necessities.
Youth primarily consider achieving financial stability, building a career, and being personally ready as priorities. Instead of marrying early, they prefer to "stand on their own feet first."
Research has also revealed another interesting fact: the number of people in India who want to remarry is also increasing. While ten years ago, 11% of users on marriage platforms sought a second marriage, by 2025 this figure has reached 16%.
Marriage statistics in Uzbekistan are also noteworthy. According to the National Statistics Committee, the majority of those getting married in the country are young people aged between 20 and 30.
Specifically, 78.7% of men and 53.5% of women marry within this age range. This indicates that there are important stages in young people's preparation for marriage.
