Attack on checkpoint in Pakistan: 12 terrorists eliminated

On February 17, a terrorist attack was carried out on a checkpoint located in Bajaur district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province in Pakistan. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
This was reported by "The Hindu" publication. According to the information, 11 security personnel and one child were killed as a result of the explosion.
Another seven people, including women and children, sustained injuries of varying degrees. The attack was carried out using an explosive device installed in a vehicle.
The vehicle filled with explosives crashed into the checkpoint wall, causing a powerful explosion. According to preliminary information, this attack was carried out by members of the Pakistani Taliban movement.
Security forces took countermeasures and eliminated 12 attackers during the operation. Pakistan's President Asif Ali Zardari strongly condemned this attack and expressed condolences to the families of the deceased.
Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif emphasized that the fight against terrorism will remain one of the main duties of the state.
