The risk of war between the US and Iran is increasing

The political situation in the Middle East is becoming increasingly tense. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
Reports have emerged that US military forces are preparing for possible operations against Iran. According to CBS News, this time the military actions may not be short-term but could turn into a large-scale war lasting several weeks.
So far, US President Donald Trump has not made a final decision regarding this military operation. Although the Pentagon has begun relocating personnel in the region to safe areas, the White House is carefully studying the potential consequences of military actions.
Experts emphasize that this confrontation could be much larger and more intense than the short-term military actions in June 2025. At the same time, recent negotiations held in Geneva with Oman's mediation seem to have ended without results.
The US accuses Tehran of prolonging and distracting from the negotiations. Washington aims to discuss Iran's nuclear program, missile capabilities, and regional policies.
However, both sides remain firm in their positions and are not ready to come closer to each other. Israel, the US's main ally in the Middle East, has already put its defense systems on high combat alert.
The Israeli government's security meeting is scheduled for February 22, during which the impact of this operation on Israel will be discussed. Iran has declared that it will respond firmly to the US and its allies.
Tehran has warned that if the Arab states in the Persian Gulf assist the US, their military bases could become targets of Iranian missiles. It is worth recalling that the military strikes in 2025 caused serious damage to Iran's nuclear facility in the city of Fordow.
However, Tehran has accelerated the uranium enrichment process. The international community is currently closely monitoring what events will unfold on February 21.
Whether this tension between the US and Iran will be resolved peacefully or lead to a major war remains unknown.
