Security Issues in the Middle East Disrupted Logistics

The tense security situation in the Middle East region is causing serious disruptions in the international logistics system. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
Bloomberg provided information about this. According to the source, the operations of one of the region's strategically important largest container terminals — Jebel Ali port — have been temporarily suspended.
This decision was made due to threats and transport security issues in the region. Additionally, MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company has completely stopped booking cargo on the Middle East route.
Furthermore, major international logistics operators such as A.P. Moller-Maersk and Hapag-Lloyd have temporarily canceled all cargo shipments through the Strait of Hormuz.
Experts emphasize that such stoppages in logistics chains pose a significant risk to major business centers that rely on trade turnover, international transport, tourism, and finance sectors. In particular, this situation is considered a serious economic blow for Dubai, one of the region's main economic and financial centers.
It is noted that the Middle East region was previously regarded as a relatively safe and stable area for international cargo transportation and transit. However, under the current tense situation, the future of the main maritime and logistics routes passing through the region has become uncertain.
