Trump called NATO a paper tiger

After Washington's European partners refused to join possible military operations in the Strait of Hormuz, US President Donald Trump called the North Atlantic Alliance a paper tiger. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
In a post on his social media page, the President emphasized that the alliance is weak without US participation. He accused alliance members of making decisions under fear and expressed doubt about their seriousness.
According to Trump, European countries are not eager to actively participate in efforts aimed at eliminating threats such as Iran, which is arming itself with nuclear weapons. At the same time, he continued to criticize the rising oil prices after some allies refused to help ensure the security of the Strait of Hormuz, one of the world's most important shipping routes for energy exports.
In the President's opinion, reopening this vital waterway and ensuring its security does not pose a very great risk to European countries and requires only the use of limited military force. These statements were released after the US failed to reach an agreement with European partners during the EU summit on providing military support to Washington in its conflict with Iran.
Instead, summit participants limited themselves to adopting a joint call to increase the number of ships in EU missions located off the coast of Somalia and in the Red Sea. This situation clearly shows that disagreements and tensions are growing between Washington and its European partners regarding the extent to which US security operations in the Middle East should be supported.
These differences between the two sides are of great importance for future military strategies and are raising new questions in international cooperation processes.
