Combating Pasteurellosis in Novosibirsk and Farmers' Doubts

The Novosibirsk regional authorities confirmed that the process of culling cattle as part of measures against pasteurellosis is nearing completion. Zamin.uz reported on this.
Currently, only one large livestock farm continues its operations in the area. Local residents emphasize that police officers and special vehicles were widely used during these measures.
For their part, farmers claim that the slaughtered animals were healthy and complain that the test results have not been made public. Although many livestock were found to be safe, it is assessed that there was a lack of transparency in their culling.
This situation has sparked discontent and doubts among the local population and herders. Among experts, there is also discussion about the possible presence of another dangerous disease, namely anthrax.
If the root cause is indeed anthrax, this could pose a serious threat not only to livestock but also to human health. Consequently, additional concern is growing among the population.
Currently, the course of the incident and the final results of laboratory tests are being closely monitored by observers and local citizens. Officials are expected to dispel doubts by providing clear information and test results to the public in the future.
The outcome of this process is of critical importance for the future development of the livestock sector in the region and public safety.
