Houthis of Yemen carried out the first missile attack against Israel

The geopolitical situation in the Middle East has undergone a sharp change in recent days, and regional conflicts have entered a new phase. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
The Houthi movement in Yemen, considered Iran's closest ally, has officially joined the fight against Israel. Representatives of the "Ansar Allah" movement announced that they carried out their first rocket attack against important Israeli military targets.
One of the movement's leaders emphasized that the operation was successful and that enemy forces were targeted. Israeli defense forces also confirmed that rockets were launched and announced that air defense systems were activated.
Although no precise information about serious destruction has yet been received, air raid sirens sounding in several Israeli cities indicate how serious the situation is. The warnings given by the Houthis are particularly noteworthy.
They stated that they are ready to continue attacks until the aggression stops and that if other countries oppose Iran's interests, they have decided to assist Tehran and fight. These statements imply that the conflict may not be limited to just two sides but could escalate into a broader military confrontation.
If Yemen fully intervenes in the conflict, the risk of closure of the Bab al-Mandeb Strait, one of the world's most important sea routes, increases. The blockage of this area would be not only a military but also a major economic blow to the US and Israel.
Indeed, the safety of ship traffic in the Red Sea and global trade routes depends on this strait. Currently, the US and Israel are using all available means to prevent the Houthis from deeply entering the conflict.
Saudi Arabia is also actively participating in diplomatic negotiations to ease the situation and prevent the conflict from expanding. The Houthis have been active in Yemen since the 1990s and adhere to the Zaydi branch of Islam.
In the last decade, Iran has been supplying them with modern weapons, drones, and rockets. Today, they have become one of Iran's strongest partners in the region.
Dear readers, do you think the Houthis joining the war will completely change the situation in the region? How would the closure of the Bab al-Mandeb Strait affect the global economy?
These questions must find answers in the coming days.
