Iran's attack shot down a US surveillance aircraft

As a result of a strong attack by Iran on the Prince Sultan airbase in Saudi Arabia, a US-owned Boeing E-3 Sentry surveillance and early warning aircraft may have been seriously damaged or completely destroyed. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
Photos circulated on the internet and released by the Iranian state television and radio company were later confirmed by the well-known international news agencies BBC and AFP. The images clearly show the aircraft almost shattered after the attack.
This incident is attracting the attention of the world's leading mass media. If the loss of the aircraft is officially confirmed, it will be a major loss for US military operations in the Middle East.
The E-3 Sentry aircraft is a high-tech and expensive vehicle used for long-distance airspace surveillance, missile and drone tracking, and command of air combat operations. According to experts, the price of such a modern aircraft ranges from at least four hundred million to five hundred million dollars.
In history, such extensive information about the loss of an E-3 Sentry aircraft in combat has not been previously announced. The base near the city of Al-Kharj was subjected to a joint attack consisting of missiles and drones on March 28.
According to official reports, one US military serviceman was injured in the battle, two of whom are in serious condition. Also, at least two Boeing KC-135 refueling aircraft were significantly damaged.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky spoke in an interview with NBC on March 28 about Russia delivering satellite images to Iran, but this claim has not yet been fully confirmed by independent sources. This attack occurred against the backdrop of escalating conflicts in the region.
Since February 28, US and Israeli armed forces have been conducting a series of airstrikes against Iran. In response, Tehran has been carrying out missile and drone attacks on Israel and US facilities in the Persian Gulf region.
These developments are further complicating the security situation in the region.
