Deripaska called on Russians to work twelve hours from Monday to Saturday
Famous Russian entrepreneur and billionaire Oleg Deripaska has proposed a serious change to the country's work schedule. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

His idea has sparked widespread debate in society. Taking into account serious problems in the global economy and loss of income, Deripaska considers it necessary for Russians to work twelve hours a day from Monday to Saturday.

In his opinion, such a strict schedule is the most effective measure to help the national economy overcome the current severe crisis. The entrepreneur emphasized that human capital is Russia's most valuable asset.

According to him, in difficult economic conditions, the willingness and ability of the population to work can be a decisive factor in solving financial problems and strengthening the country's future. Although this proposal may seem very harsh at first glance, some experts are trying to partially understand it.

Gennady Onishchenko, a member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, acknowledged that a six-day workweek could benefit the economy, but stressed that its implementation today is difficult. According to him, existing laws, resistance from trade unions, and society's unreadiness for such a tough schedule are the main obstacles.

The State Duma of Russia also expressed its position on this issue, stating that no changes to working hours are currently being discussed. Yaroslav Nilov, head of the parliamentary committee, said that broad negotiations between the government, employers, and trade unions are necessary to amend labor legislation.

At the same time, politicians sharply criticized Deripaska's proposal. For example, Leonid Slutsky, leader of the LDPR party, emphasized that instead of forcing citizens to work more, attention should be focused on increasing labor productivity and raising wages.
