Russia Delivered 100,000 Tons of Oil to Cuba

The Russian Federation announced the delivery of 100,000 tons of crude oil to Cuba. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
The tanker specially prepared for transporting this cargo, named Anatoliy Kolodkin, has arrived in Cuban territory and is currently awaiting the commencement of unloading operations at the Matanzas port. This large-scale oil delivery has sparked various analyses and discussions on the international arena.
Specifically, US officials have expressed their views on this event. Washington emphasizes that this situation does not signify fundamental changes in its policy towards Havana.
During a briefing, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt, while answering journalists' questions, specifically noted that she does not assess this oil delivery process as a new stage in the political direction. According to her, the US overall policy towards Cuba remains unchanged, and this is not a first-time occurrence.
At the same time, Russian President's Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov also provided clarification regarding this trade operation. According to him, the issue of supplying oil products from Russia to Cuba was previously discussed and agreed upon during communications between the leaders and representatives of both countries with the United States.
Thus, this process was carried out within the framework of mutual cooperation, and there is no need to attach political connotations to it. In an era where international trade relations are constantly developing, such deliveries are a natural result of economic cooperation.
Both countries continue to assist each other in pursuit of their own interests, which also contributes to ensuring energy security in the region.
Such trade relations are expected to develop even further in the future.
