Binance may lose the right to serve its customers in the European Union

Unexpected news has emerged in the global cryptocurrency market, sparking widespread discussion. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
Binance, one of the largest cryptocurrency exchanges in the world, may lose the right to officially serve millions of customers in the European Union starting from July this year. According to sources familiar with the situation, as reported by Reuters news agency, Binance could receive a negative response to its application for the necessary license to operate in the European Economic Area.
If this decision is made, the exchange will be forced to limit its activities in the European market. The European Union has implemented the MiCA regulations to bring order to the crypto-asset market.
Under these rules, organizations providing cryptocurrency services must obtain the appropriate license by the end of June this year. Binance submitted its documents to the Hellenic Capital Market Commission in Greece to meet this requirement.
According to Reuters sources, it is precisely the Greek authorities who may reject Binance’s application. However, the agency did not disclose the reasons for the potential refusal.
So far, no official announcement has been made regarding the decision. The Hellenic Capital Market Commission has not commented on the matter to the media.
Binance insists that its application meets all requirements and that it has not yet received an official refusal. Therefore, the situation remains unresolved.
The final decision by European regulators is of significant importance for Binance. If the license is denied, it could send a serious signal not only for the exchange but potentially for the entire cryptocurrency market.
