Strong earthquakes in Venezuela left one person dead

In northern Venezuela, two strong earthquakes of magnitudes 7.2 and 7.5, occurring about 40 seconds apart, caused major devastation, according to Earth.uz.
Initial reports indicate that dozens have been killed and hundreds are still missing. The greatest damage was observed in the cities of La-Guayra, Katiya-la-Mar, and Karaballeda.
Dozens of multi-story buildings collapsed, and residents are searching through the rubble for loved ones. Many families have lost their homes and are forced to live in temporary shelters.
The quake also caused serious damage to Simon Bolivar International Airport, the country's main air gateway. In Caracas, several buildings collapsed, and useful roads and communications remain disrupted.
People have been forced to live on the streets. According to the IMT, more than 100 buildings collapsed in the La-Guayra area alone.
Search and rescue efforts are underway, with specialists from the United States, France, and other countries being deployed. Aid is being delivered through international cooperation.
Officials warn that the death toll may still rise, and rescuers are racing against time to find survivors trapped under the debris.
The government is developing measures to address all damages and provide assistance.
