US Supreme Court halts Trump's Haiti and Syria protection program

The US Supreme Court has supported the Donald Trump administration's proposal to terminate temporary protection programs for migrants fleeing violence and natural disasters in Haiti and Syria. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
The court's decision was adopted with six votes against three. This decision could put hundreds of thousands of people at risk of deportation from the US.
Internal security advisor Stephen Miller stated: "The doors of the United States are completely closed to asylum seekers." Now, the US Department of Homeland Security can revoke the temporary protected status previously granted to some migrants.
According to Associated Press, such programs currently protect approximately one million three hundred thousand people from seven countries. Additionally, the Supreme Court allowed the restoration of the practice of turning back migrants seeking asylum at the US-Mexico border.
This decision is expected to lead to a large influx across the entire region. Many migrants are seeking a new life to live together with their families.
