Death tolls are rising on the European peninsula

Anomalous heatwave sweeping across Europe is causing serious consequences, Earth.uz reports.
Due to the heatwave, mortality rates have risen in several countries, and emergency services are under extreme strain. According to the latest data, in Spain, 212 people have died over four days due to conditions related to sunstroke and high temperatures.
This figure is currently the highest among European countries. In the United Kingdom, record-breaking heat has negatively affected the availability of medical supplies in some hospitals.
The situation has worsened to the point that critical conditions have been declared in some regions. Healthcare systems are under pressure, making it difficult to provide services to many patients.
In Italy, temporary restrictions on outdoor work have been introduced due to the heatwave. In Germany, a scheduled marathon was canceled due to high temperatures.
Additionally, more than 20 people have drowned in water bodies while swimming. France is also experiencing severe consequences from the heatwave.
In the country, 48 people have died from drowning, and three children left unattended in vehicles have died due to heatstroke. This situation urges parents to never leave their children unattended in closed cars.
Experts are urging the public to avoid going outside during peak heat unless necessary, to drink more fluids, and to never leave children or pets unattended in vehicles. It is also recommended to go outside during early morning or evening hours.
