Pakistan attacked Afghanistan territory, killing 36 people

Pakistan launched airstrikes and deployed ground troops to areas bordering Afghanistan on Sunday. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
Dozens of people were killed as a result of the incident, further intensifying the conflict between the two countries. According to the Afghan government, at least 36 civilians, including women and children, were killed and more than 160 people were injured as a result of the attacks.
Kabul described the attack as a horrific act, a crime, and an act of brutality. Pakistan's Information Minister, Attoulloh Tarar, stated that the strikes targeted facilities where militants were hiding.
He stated that 29 militants were eliminated during the operation. According to officials, these attacks were a response to recent terrorist acts committed against civilians in Pakistan.
Pakistan has long accused Afghanistan of providing shelter to terrorist groups that organize attacks from across the border. The Afghan government denies these claims.
Kabul, in turn, accuses Pakistan of launching groundless attacks on areas where civilians reside. According to the Afghan government, the strikes hit civilian homes, while Pakistan stated they were directed at militant hideouts in the provinces of Paktia, Paktika, and Kunar.
The highest number of casualties was recorded in the village of Mandokhail in Paktika province. One day before the attacks, three military personnel were killed in an attack on a military headquarters in the city of Karachi.
Additionally, three militants were killed and another suspect was apprehended. Responsibility was claimed by the Jamaat-ul-Ahrar group, considered a splinter wing of the TTP.
Clashes on the border between Pakistan and Afghanistan have occurred frequently in recent months. Dozens of people were killed in armed conflicts in February.
While Pakistan announced that 26 militants were killed in airstrikes in early June, the Afghan side stated that 13 people, mostly children, were killed in these attacks. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs administration acknowledged the loss of civilian lives as a result of these strikes and expressed deep condolences to the families.
The international community is awaiting a reaction to the incident and the necessary actions to find a solution to this issue.
