Venezuelan ayol freed from captivity

After the devastating landslide in Venezuela, the survival of a woman trapped under the rubble for 18 days with her newborn son shocked the entire world. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
Rescuers shared the harrowing account of Dayana Patino, who described the terrifying moments she endured. As she emphasized, even in the most desperate and hopeless moments, her newborn son, Xuan David, gave her incomparable strength to keep fighting for David, gave her the strength to survive.
She recalls realizing her child was still alive and refusing to give up, constantly checking his breath by touching his nose to feel if he was still breathing. This powerful landslide in Venezuela became one of the largest natural disasters in the country’s history.
According to official data, the tragedy claimed thousands of lives and left tens of thousands missing. Although search operations continue, the chances of finding survivors diminish with each passing day.
Under such extreme conditions, the rescue of Dayana and her son is regarded as a true miracle. Little Xuan David has become a symbol of hope and resilience for many.
Dayana was on the eighth floor of a multi-story building in La Guaira when the landslide struck. Initially, she thought it was just a minor tremor, but within seconds, the situation worsened dramatically.
She immediately pressed her son to her chest as the entire building began to collapse. She described feeling as if she were flying through the air, then being buried under chunks of earth and concrete.
Trapped under the debris, the mother first cried out for help, but realizing no one could hear her, she conserved her strength, only making noise when she heard footsteps nearby, hoping someone would come.
Although her legs and head were pinned between concrete slabs, she did not lose consciousness.
After some time, she heard voices from nearby and responded with all her strength. As a result of a complex rescue operation, both mother and child were pulled from the rubble.
When the head of the family, Gerson, saw the destruction, he believed he had lost his wife and child. Their survival felt like a rebirth for the entire family.
Today, the mother and child are under medical supervision, and their lives are no longer in danger.
