At the same time, the number of registered vehicles in road traffic safety departments reached 116.8 thousand units. The main reason for this growth was the activation of the new passenger car segment.
In July, sales of new passenger cars amounted to 38.4 thousand units, which is an increase of 38.2 percent compared to June. This figure is the highest result since October of the previous year.
The annual growth was 26 percent. Sales of locally produced cars increased by 38.6 percent, reaching nearly 33 thousand units.

This figure increased by nearly a quarter compared to June and was 8.6 percent higher than in July 2023. The most significant growth was observed in Tashkent region, where sales volume increased by one and a half times.
In Namangan region, the growth reached 49 percent. The secondary market also showed signs of activation, but the growth rate was somewhat slower.
After a slight decline in June (-0.4 percent), sales of used cars increased by 18 percent in July. New owners purchased approximately 61.5 thousand cars.
This indicates that demand in this market segment has also begun to recover. The growth in the electric vehicle market in July is particularly noteworthy.
Sales of "green" cars reached their highest level during the month, totaling 6.5 thousand units. This figure represents an increase of 28.2 percent compared to June, confirming the growing interest of Uzbekistan residents in environmentally friendly transport.
Since the beginning of 2024, in the Uzbek automotive market, the prices of popular locally produced models, including Chevrolet Cobalt, Lacetti, and Damas cars, remain a key factor in setting prices for both primary and secondary markets. The prices of these cars often do not decrease during the first two years.
