The restrictions on the import of light vehicles belonging to the “Leapmotor” brand in Uzbekistan will be reconsidered. This was reported by the press service of the inspection for technical regulation.
According to the inspection, negotiations are ongoing regarding the restrictions imposed on the “Leapmotor” company. In the coming days, specialists from this company are expected to visit Uzbekistan. A product test will be conducted again with their participation.
It was reported that the acceptance of applications for the certification of light vehicles under the Chinese “Leapmotor” brand in Uzbekistan has been suspended. This was cited as a reason due to the deficiencies identified in the S16 vehicle belonging to this brand.
The inspection for technical regulation announced that the level of electromagnetic interference generated by this vehicle is 16 times higher than the permitted limit.
Representatives of the public are evaluating this action as an attempt to clear the market for local manufacturers.
