In Uzbekistan, nearly 400,000 drivers were warned in five months

In Uzbekistan, control measures continue to be implemented to ensure road safety and prevent traffic violations. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to the latest data, from February 4 to July 10 of this year, approximately 400,000 citizens across the country were issued administrative warnings. As stated in the report provided by the Road Traffic Safety Service, a total of 399,269 individuals were found to have violated traffic rules during this period.
These figures indicate that maintaining order on the roads remains a pressing issue. According to analyses, the most frequently committed violations include not wearing a seat belt, using a mobile phone while driving, and exceeding the speed limit.
Additionally, drivers watching videos while behind the wheel or failing to comply with stopping and parking rules are also considered serious problems. Such negligence endangers not only the driver but also the lives of other road users.
Experts warn that even a few seconds of distraction can lead to irreversible consequences. It is not only drivers but also pedestrians who commit violations that pose a significant risk.
In particular, crossing the road at undesignated locations—outside of marked pedestrian crossings—occurs very frequently. Road traffic safety is regarded as a shared responsibility of both drivers and pedestrians.
If both parties fail to strictly observe the rules, the likelihood of unfortunate incidents increases significantly. At the same time, monitoring continues within the framework of the penalty points system.
As of now, 671 drivers have accumulated more than 12 penalty points. According to the current legislation, appropriate liability measures are applied to such drivers.
This system aims to deter individuals who have turned violations into a habit and to promote a culture of responsibility on the roads. The Road Traffic Safety Service calls on all our citizens to remain vigilant on the roads and to strictly comply with traffic rules.
Zero tolerance for even the simplest rule is the most effective way to prevent the loss of human life.
