In recent days, intensified monitoring activities have been carried out by the Traffic Safety Department of the Main Department of Internal Affairs in the streets of Tashkent. This was reported by Upl.uz.
The main goal of these activities is to enhance the safety culture among road traffic participants, particularly among users of small vehicles. The monitoring center includes cyclists, as well as the increasingly popular scooter, moped, and electric scooter riders.
The primary task of the ongoing raids is to prevent road traffic accidents involving these road users. With the onset of the warm season, the number of these vehicles on the roads significantly increases, which requires additional measures to ensure safety.
During the monitoring, law enforcement officers conduct explanatory work with drivers stopped on the road. Citizens are reminded of the importance of following safe driving rules, using protective gear, maintaining appropriate speed, and adhering to traffic regulations.
Particular attention is paid to movement and the use of reflective items, especially during the evening hours. Administrative measures are also taken against drivers who violate traffic rules.
These measures are implemented strictly in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Uzbekistan. As noted by the information service of the Traffic Safety Department, such raids will continue regularly in various regions.
The series of events aims to foster a culture of responsible driving and reduce the number of accidents on city roads. In many countries, a specific category of driver's license is required to operate electric scooters and mopeds, depending on their power and maximum speed, and registering the vehicle is mandatory.
These rules are aimed at ensuring safety and improving traffic culture.
