Alisher Qodirov, a deputy of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan and leader of the Democratic Party "National Revival," recently announced an initiative that may be presented for parliamentary discussion. This was reported by Upl.uz.
According to him, it is proposed to gradually phase out cars that are over 40-50 years old. In Alisher Qodirov's opinion, phasing out cars that are 40-50 years old would be the right decision.
Even imposing restrictions on cars that are 25-30 years old would not be inappropriate. The most important thing is to provide car owners with convenient replacement options.
Additionally, the deputy suggested setting speed limits based on location, time, and necessity. For example, the question was raised whether it would be permissible to drive at a speed of 130 kilometers per hour on highways, which are far from populated areas and for long distances.
These initiatives aim to enhance road safety and are of significant importance in shaping modern transport policy
