“Director of The Lion King Roger Allers passed away”

Roger Allers, one of the directors involved in creating the famous Disney animated project — “The Lion King,” passed away at the age of 76. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
This information was officially announced by his close colleague and director Dave Bossert. In a tribute posted on social media, Dave Bossert emphasized that Allers' death deeply saddened him.
According to him, they had been in contact until recently, and Allers had been traveling across Egypt in his final days. For this reason, this loss was unexpected and received with great sorrow.
Bossert remembered his friend as a talented artist, a profound creative thinker, and an important figure who brought Disney animation to a new level. He stated that Roger Allers was one of the key creatives during Disney's renaissance period.
Roger Allers co-directed “The Lion King” in 1994 alongside director Rob Minkoff. This work is recognized not only as one of the most successful projects in the studio's history but also in world animation.
The film earned $771 million worldwide. In 2019, its remake version collected $1.6 billion globally, ranking among the highest-grossing films.
Allers also contributed to many other famous animated projects throughout his career. Notably, he played a significant role in creating works such as “Aladdin,” “The Little Mermaid,” “Beauty and the Beast,” “The Hunt for the Wilderpeople,” and “Oliver & Company.”
The animation world has lost another great creator. The rich creative legacy left by Roger Allers will continue to hold a place in the hearts of audiences for many years to come.
