In January, Inflation in Uzbekistan Reached 7.3 Percent

In January of this year, the consumer price index in Uzbekistan increased by 0.6 percent. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
As a result of this change, the annual inflation rate rose from 7.2 percent in the previous month to 7.3 percent. Economic analyses indicate that price changes in the markets are manifesting differently across various products.
Prices in the food products market remain volatile. In January, tomatoes increased in price by 12.1 percent, and squash by 11.7 percent.
At the same time, the price of cucumbers decreased by 13.8 percent, providing some relief to consumers. In the services sector, railway fares increased by 14 percent, which was the highest growth rate among services last month.
Various trends are also observed in the fuel products market. While gasoline prices fell by 0.5 percent, propane prices rose by 1.9 percent.
There were no significant changes in methane gas prices, and they remained stable. Experts emphasize that this level of inflation is one of the main factors influencing economic processes.
