Are foreigners occupying our lands?

In recent days, news has spread widely on social media about "the lands of our homeland being given or sold to foreigners."
The Cadastre Agency has commented on this news. Below we present it in full.
It seems that these individuals are spreading such information without being aware of the procedures for granting land plots to foreigners according to our legislation. If they had accurate information, they would not have spread false news.
We would like to provide you with information.
The requirements for granting (realizing) land plots are established by the Land Code, and according to its Article 17, foreign citizens and legal entities, stateless persons, and enterprises with foreign investments can only acquire land plots based on lease rights.
According to Article 24 of the Code, land plots are leased to enterprises with foreign investments, international associations and organizations, and foreign physical and legal entities.
“What if they lease it and then privatize it, what will we do?” - do not panic.
There is no reason for concern; according to the Law on "Privatization of Non-Agricultural Land Plots," foreign citizens, stateless persons, foreign legal entities, enterprises with foreign investments, as well as state bodies, institutions, enterprises, and self-governing bodies of citizens cannot be subjects of privatization, meaning land will not be privatized for foreigners.
“But what if it is agricultural land? Can they privatize it?” - do not torment yourself. Even citizens of the Republic of Uzbekistan cannot privatize agricultural lands.
