The Prime Minister's press secretary commented on the news related to Chinese people on social networks
Recently, various reports on social networks have been interpreted in different ways regarding the increasing number of Chinese people in Uzbekistan. Some information even suggests that the lands of Uzbekistan are supposedly being transferred to China. Those spreading these reports through networks even blame the Uzbek government for inaction and helplessness in this process.

In order to know the government's stance on these reports, we contacted the Prime Minister's press secretary Bekzod Hidoyatov and received a comment, as reported by Platina.uz. In response to the inquiry, the Prime Minister's press secretary commented on this matter.

“Currently, there is a global trend of investment migration. Thanks to the efforts of our President, the economy of Uzbekistan is developing. An open and pragmatic policy is being pursued. Many investors are entering the country. Of course, this is a normal process for a developing state.

Moreover, not only from China but also from other countries such as Germany, France, Turkey, India, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Malaysia, and many others, numerous investors and entrepreneurs are coming and operating in our country.

In addition, Uzbek entrepreneurs or migrants are also active in various countries, particularly in China. Nowadays, you can find Uzbek neighborhoods, shops with names written in Uzbek, and national cuisines in any country around the world.

Regarding the issue of China, it is a leading country in terms of population, and there are large diasporas even in Western Europe and North America. However, no one talks about the dangers they pose. Therefore, there is no reason for concern in this regard. This seems like a manipulation company managed by the interests of a third party in a centralized manner. Thus, we ask our compatriots not to believe in various manipulations from provocateurs.

China is Uzbekistan's historical and close partner as well as a strategic ally. It respects and firmly supports our territorial integrity and sovereignty. A separate agreement has even been signed regarding this matter. That is, there is no basis for panic.

Another example: Among the students studying in Uzbekistan, Indians also make up a significant number. Currently, if I'm not mistaken, more than six thousand Indians are studying specifically in higher educational institutions of Uzbekistan. But this does not mean that Indians will take over Uzbekistan!

I reiterate, Uzbekistan is not a closed state as it used to be. We ask people to be a little patient and not to fall for various false or provocative information,” said Bekzod Hidoyatov.
