A video showing a dispute between internal affairs officers and drivers in the Guzar district of the Kashkadarya region has circulated on social media. The regional Road Traffic Safety Department provided official information regarding this incident.
It was reported that while performing their duties, a preventive inspector from the Guzar district internal affairs department and officers from the Road Traffic Safety Department's patrol post battalion signaled a truck driver to stop. However, the driver ignored this request and attempted to flee the scene.
The patrol post battalion officers managed to stop the driver and demanded the relevant documents for the vehicle. However, the driver refused to comply with the legal demands of the internal affairs officers. Additionally, the driver's brother intervened in the incident and actively resisted the internal affairs officers.
In relation to this incident, protocols were officially drawn up against the brothers, and the case materials were sent to the Guzar district criminal court for review.
As a result of the court proceedings, the Guzar district court issued a legal decision against the brothers. According to the court's ruling, they were fined in the amount of 7 times the basic calculation amount and sentenced to administrative detention for up to 3 days.
The Kashkadarya region Road Traffic Safety Department reiterated that all drivers must unconditionally comply with the legal demands of internal affairs officers and strictly adhere to traffic rules. It was emphasized that preventive measures would continue regularly to prevent such situations.
