In Surkhandarya, a drunken man killed a young man for his daughter's "honor"

A drunk man in Surxondaryo province stabbed and killed a young man. The incident occurred due to rumors in the neighborhood, as reported by Millar.

According to investigation data, the young man had come to the girl's house. The gossip about this quickly spread in the neighborhood and reached the ears of his 48-year-old father. Considering himself "ashamed," he went to the young man's house while under the influence of alcohol.

There, he called the young man and started shouting at him, ultimately inflicting several stab wounds. The victim died at the scene.

During the trial, the defendant partially admitted his guilt and expressed remorse. He was sentenced to 12 years of imprisonment under part 1 of article 97 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan (Intentional homicide).
