Former football player Yuri Zhirkov expressed his opinion on who has the greatest chance of winning the championship in the Russian Premier League in the new season. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
According to him, the favorites have not changed and they are the teams "Zenit," "Krasnodar," CSKA, "Spartak," and "Dinamo." No great expectations are held for other teams.
The expert also emphasized that he does not believe in "Lokomotiv" winning the championship in the new season. The gold medals for the 2024-2025 season went to "Krasnodar."
"Zenit" took second place, while CSKA secured the bronze medals. "Spartak" and "Dinamo" finished the season in fourth and fifth places, respectively.
The "Lokomotiv" team, on the other hand, placed sixth in the standings. Thus, strong competition continues among the teams, and fans are expecting great results from the new season.
