According to journalist David Ornstein, last week Manchester United tried to secure Ekitike before Liverpool, but this effort ended unsuccessfully as an agreement already existed between the two clubs.

The transfer of the 23-year-old striker is estimated to exceed 90 million euros, including bonuses, for Liverpool. Last season, Ekitike played in 48 matches across all competitions, scoring 22 goals and providing 12 assists.
